The official record book of "Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water", an animation work directed by Hideaki Anno that was broadcast on NHK from April 1990, has been released more than 30 years later. This book is a collection of interviews with the director Hideaki Anno and other key staff members, as well as original drawings, layouts, and setting materials that were discovered for the exhibition, and is now available as an official record book. Starting with the early planning documents and setting materials for the series, this collection contains a wealth of image boards, character settings, mechanical and prop settings, and more. The book also includes newly discovered materials from recent years, which have been replaced from the original version as much as possible. The book also includes newly recorded comments by Yoshino Takamori, Noriko Hidaka, and Akio Otsuka from the cast, as well as a roundtable discussion by the production staff looking back at the time from the year 2022.
