Description
[Machine Translation] Catch Copy Guitarist Takuya Okamoto's long-awaited debut album! The long-awaited first album by world-acclaimed classical guitarist Takuya Okamoto. His focus on Brazil and Paraguay was influenced by his Uruguayan master and teacher, Alvaro Pierri. The title track, "Seven Rings" (Gismonti), was arranged by Takuya Takuya himself, and the original song's "tenderness" is preserved in this arrangement, which allows the listener to feel various Brazilian rhythms. Despite the beauty and freshness of "Portrait of Sandy" by Assad, there are still few recordings of this piece in the world due to its difficulty. It is expected to be played by many guitarists in the future. This time, the three-fold package is made of high-quality paper. This is an album that you can see, hear, and touch. PROFILE Classical guitarist Takuya Okamoto was born in Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture. He started playing guitar at the age of 10 and studied under the late Yasushi Hiratsuka, Masashi Shinohara, and Alvaro Pieri at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and completed his master's degree in guitar performance at the same university in November 2018 with the highest unanimous score. In each of these competitions, he was awarded first or second prize; in 2018, he performed in the Act New Artist Series organized by the Hamamatsu Cultural Promotion Foundation, and in June, he became the first Japanese finalist at the Alhambra International Guitar Competition in Spain, the highest level of competition in the world today, where he was awarded second prize. He has been invited to give master classes and recitals at the Vienna Forum International Guitar Festival and other international guitar festivals in Austria, Hungary, Romania and Serbia. In addition to solo and chamber music, he is also a member of the Talega Guitar Quartet (Gen Matsuda, Aoi Hui Park, Shinichiro Tokunaga, and Takuya Okamoto), a guitar quartet formed in 2015, which is expanding its activities throughout Japan.
