[Machine Translation] The latest edition of the "Furusato no Minda Odori" series, Vol. 56! This work was released under the supervision of the Japan Folk Dance Federation, a public interest incorporated association aiming for the unification of folk dances in Japan and their popularization, as a teaching material to hold workshops throughout the country and to popularize the songs and dances to the public. Eight songs were selected from each prefecture to contribute to the dissemination and development of Japanese folk dances that have been buried in the past. The sound files were produced based on field research of minyo songs and dances in each prefecture. The booklet includes explanations of the choreography and background information for all the songs.
