The improvisational nature of spiritual jazz, the fervor of psychedelic rock, and the spirituality of pure Japanese music all take shape in the transparent ambient textures of the music. For Damage is ambient, jazz, rock, new age, and none of the above at the same time. Although this work was released on LP and CD jointly by Centripetal Force (US), Cardinal Fuzz (UK), and Ramble Records (Australia), it was almost never distributed in Japan, and this cassette tape version is the first time that a physical version of this work has been distributed in Japan.
