Description
[Machine Translation] Everyone is sad to lose a loved one. However, there is a mystical custom called "washing bones" that allows people to see their loved ones again a few years later. By washing the bones of the dead, we feel the connection of life inherited from our ancestors. This gem of a human drama has been acclaimed around the world for its humor and emotion. The basis of this film is a short film "born, bone, grave" directed by Toshiyuki Teruya (Garage Sale Gori), which won numerous awards at international short film festivals and became a big hit. This feature-length film, "Born, Bone, Grave Sound," is based on the original idea of Teruya's short films and independent films that he has made over the past 12 years. Eiji Okuda plays the lead role, supported by Michitaka Tsutsui, a talented director, Ayame Mizusaki, who played the lead role in Naomi Kawase's "Hikari", Yoko Oshima, Akira Sakamoto, Q Taro Suzuki, Mariko Tsutsui, and others.
