¡Sound & Fury
¡Sturgill Simpson
Description
[Machine Translation] Sturgill Simpson, winner of the Grammy Award for "Best Country Album," releases a new album! The heaviest, most psychedelic rock album ever from Nashville's outlaw samurai. Sturgill Simpson produced "Sound & Fury," which takes its title from a line in Shakespeare's "Macbeth," and is the first album by the Nashville outlaw samurai to feature Sturgill Simpson. Sturgill recorded the album with his band mates while projecting Akira Kurosawa's "The Bouncer" and "The Seven Samurai" on the studio walls. He teamed up with Grammy award-winning producer John Hill as co-producer for this powerful work. The music video for the entire album, which blends American rock and Japanimation in an innovative approach, was directed by Junpei Mizusaki, head of Kamikaze Video, who directed Ninja Batman, and character design by Noji Okazaki (Afro Samurai, etc.). Additional creators include Koji Morimoto, Griot Groove, Michael Arias, Masaru Matsumoto of Grayscale Arts, Henry Thurlow of D'ART Shtajio, and Arthell Isom. Mr. Shunsuke Ochiai is the co-executive producer, and Mr. Hiroaki Takeuchi is the production executive.
