¡Naohiro Totsuka (conductor), Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa

 Description
[Machine Translation] The first orchestral work composed by Shiba was "Overture to the Wedding Ceremony", which was composed in 1959 to celebrate the marriage of Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress. As a musician in the Imperial Household Agency's Music Department, Shiba devoted his orchestral works to the imperial family for their celebrations and banquets, and this time the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa has made new recordings of these works. The recordings include a march and a musical piece for the Imperial banquet that have not been available to the general public, a dedication to Empress Kojun, the Showa Emperor, and a piece composed to a poem by Empress Kojun, which is being performed for the first time in this collection. Performed by: Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, conducted by Naohiro Tosoku, assisted by Yuyasu Shiba (dragon flute, Japanese harp), Fumiko Shinozaki (harp), Mayumi Miyata (sho), and others.
