Behind the team's success was their female manager, Akko, who was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 16, and the members of the baseball team earnestly aim to encourage her to participate in the Koshien tournament. The sight of Akko fighting hard against her illness encourages the other members of the baseball team and strengthens their bond. For Akko, the baseball field where her friends were waiting for her became an even more precious place. The image of Akiko, who kept the flame of life burning with great care until the very end, is engraved in people's memories. During her battle with the disease, Akko secretly kept a diary in which she wrote down her feelings for her family and friends, as well as her own wavering thoughts. This is the story of a real-life girl and her friends, based on the thoughts and feelings written in the diary. [Akko, the manager of the Yushikan High School baseball team, is always thinking about the baseball team, whether she sleeps or wakes up. In her sophomore year of high school, she was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer. She is shocked to learn that her condition is life-threatening, but she vows to do her best to get better and come back home, seeing the members of the team practicing for the Koshien National Championships. The baseball team also promises to take Akko to Koshien. [After being temporarily discharged from the hospital, Akko returns to the baseball team. The club members are happy to see her again. They enjoy their student life for a short time, participating in a school trip, but soon it is discovered that her cancer has metastasized. Akko faces "death" as a reality. When she is informed that she will have to stay in the hospital the following summer if she continues her treatment, she makes a decision. The baseball team is aiming for the Koshien again, but there is something wrong with ace pitcher Yoshiyuki's shoulder. The first day of the tournament approaches. Booklet enclosed.
