Boogie Woogie Senmu DVDvol.16
Variety
Description
[Machine Translation] In "Boogie Woogie Director," a Sapporo TV variety show, Director Uesugi (Shudai Uesugi) and his assistant Ochi (Yosuke Daichi, Dainoji) take on the challenges of Hokkaido's natural environment in the harsh physical environment of a fictional PR company, Uesugi Pump Shokai. The 16th Boogie Woogie Director DVD includes a chapter of the popular "Boogie Woogie Okunohosomichi Act 2" from the Atsugishi Oyster Chapter (broadcast from October 2018 to March 2007). In "Boogie Woogie Oku no Hosomichi Act II," haiku poets travel 800 km on foot from Okushiri Island in westernmost Hokkaido to Cape Nosappu in Nemuro in easternmost Hokkaido, writing haiku. This time, the 75-kilometer journey from Atsugishi-cho to Hamanaka-cho, a town just before the goal, is fully recorded, including never-before-seen footage. The executive director and section chief arrive at Atsugishi-cho, Hokkaido's representative oyster production area. They are treated to the town's famous oysters everywhere they go, and as the title suggests, they are on an oyster-plattering trip. What is the unique way of eating oysters in Atsugishi-cho that impressed them so much that their skulls "resonated"? In addition, they visited a whiskey distillery that had just been established in Akkeshi and experienced canoeing in the marshland, which was a rare sightseeing trip. However, the tour's schedule was thrown off by information about the appearance of bears, and other incidents occurred as a result of the randomness of the grueling trip. There are exquisite local delicacies, once-in-a-lifetime encounters with people, unexpected happenings, and so on. Finally reaching the goal in Nemuro City, this is a rare road trip full of highlights as it enters the final stage of its far journey. (Unpublished footage/Executive Director Wesugi's "travelogue" is available to the public! ) After a day's journey on foot, the Executive Director writes an illustrated travel diary "Kigyo Bun" at night after arriving at his lodgings. This is a sad story that has been cut from most of the broadcasts due to the time and quality of the broadcasts. This time, too, many of the problematic pieces, which were kept for 4 out of 5 nights, will be shown to the public. (The latest episode of the wandering project that has become synonymous with the program was filmed exclusively for the DVD. In this kindergarten version, the wanderer asks people on the street where they went to school, and sets out to reach the goal, the executive director's alma mater. Since he failed to reach the goal in the previous film, he decided to restart the mission from Asahikawa City. The mission is a miracle, as they are able to visit the "sacred places" of this project one after another, but the journey is extremely tough, as they are forced to move west and east across Hokkaido. Can the executive director put an end to this mission, which is said to be impossible to finish? This rare and unusual journey, which can no longer be seen on TV, is now available on DVD in its entirety. Includes a ticket for the "Executive Director Uesugi's Talk & Special Offer Handover Party in Sapporo" event to commemorate the release of "Boogie Woogie: Executive Director DVD VOL.16.
