 Description

An album and a live video work will be released at the same time! Okinawa no Utahai" started in 2015 with Naoko Hedona, a pianist/arranger and Cocco, who were classmates in high school, as the core members. It is a comprehensive art stage that fuses music, visual images, and dance, and has been steadily expanding its audience with performances in Okinawa in 2015 and 2016, in Tokyo in 2018 and 2022, and its first performance in Osaka this year. In this stage, Cocco's songs and dances intersect with genre-less music that mixes Ryukyuan classics, folk songs, pops, and classical music, and images of Okinawa taken from many different angles, to create a stage where artists from various genres come together to express a life-size Okinawa and a prayer for peace to the world. In the past, the group has only performed on stage. The long-awaited release of their new album, "UTAHAI", will be released in March. The album "UTAHAI" is sound produced by Takayoshi Negishi, who was impressed by the Tokyo performance of "Okinawa no Uta Hai" in 2022 and intended to plan it, and is composed of Naoko Hedona, pianist and leader of the group, Cocco, who is the main singer and dancer on stage, Satoshi Itokazu (song), Kentaro Oshiro (sanshin/flute), and Chris (bass). ), Chris (bass), and Kyoichi Shiino (percussion), who also plays drums in Cocco's live performances, were the core members of this studio recording. The album contains 10 songs, including original compositions, Ryukyuan classical music, Okinawan folk songs, etc. Cocco sings on three of the songs.
