¡Father's Voice
¡Special Interest (Yoichi Watanabe)
Description
[Machine Translation] I couldn't help but feel a bit of a stirring in my heart. For some reason, I suddenly wanted to meet my loved ones. Yoichi Watabe's original reading work, based on his own experiences, is finally completed. This is the second CD of the reading by Yoichi Watabe, a war photographer who continues to fascinate people with his unique way of speaking. He has teamed up with Wakako Satoru and Shuntaro Tanikawa, two great poets, to produce this moving reading. In this CD, Yoichi Watabe himself reads his own words, messages, and poems from his coverage activities around the world as a battlefield photographer. In addition, the script was written and produced by Wakako Kaku, a poet and reader who has written lyrics for Ghibli films ("Spirited Away" theme song "Always and Again," which won the Japan Record Award Gold Prize in 2008). Shuntaro Tanigawa, one of Japan's most famous poets, also participated in the writing of the poems. Yoichi Watanabe, who has been filming people, young people, and children living in battlefields around the world that are completely different from those in Japan, and Wakako Kaku and Shuntaro Tanigawa, poets who are internationally known for their work for Ghibli, have teamed up to create a new Japanese reading work. The music for each story is composed by Makoto Aoyagi, who is active in the Japanese Jazz scene and has produced many artists. A special Father's Voice photo card, photographed by Yoichi Watanabe, is included.
