¡Scott LaFaro no Shozo - Resonance Resonance Rare Ongen Series
¡Scott LaFaro

 Description
[Machine Translation] Scott Ruffalo, the inimitable bassist who is best known for his collaborations with Bill Evans, has released a CD of rare recordings of his work. The Bill Evans Trio recorded two live recordings at the Village Vanguard in New York: "Waltz for Debbie" and "Sunday at the Village Vanguard", which made Scott Ruffalo a household name. The year before this recording was made in 1961, the trio rehearsed "My Hoolish Heart" (the first song on Waltz for Debbie, which is very famous) with Bill Evans on a private tape that lasts less than 23 minutes. Also included is a recorded interview with Bill Evans by George Clavin, producer of the album and owner of Resonance Records. A complete bilingual translation of the interview is included. The album includes five songs recorded in 1961 by the trio of Don Friedman (piano) and Pete LaRoca (drums), and a solo piece by Don Friedman dedicated to Scott LaFaro (1985). These are also valuable recordings that should not be missed!
