¡Toriro Miki Song Book
¡Saori Yuki & Duke Aces

 Description
[Machine Translation] MIKI Torio, who will celebrate the 100th anniversary of his birth in 2014, is the founder of the "comason" genre and the creator of numerous works for television and film. This is a special edition released by EMI in 1971, with production and artwork by Makoto Wada, an illustrator who is a big fan of Miki's work, and all arrangements by Masao Yagi, a jazz pianist, with songs by Saori Yuki and Duke Aces, who are well-known to Miki. Miki himself says that he is more attached to this masterpiece than any other work he has covered. This ambitious work revives 13 of Miki's best-known songs in modern arrangements, including the hit "Inaka no Bus" sung by Meiko Nakamura, "Boku wa Tokkyu no Kikansha de" (I am an engineer on a limited express), a popular joke song for railroads, and "Yurariro no Uta" (Song of Yurariro), which Eiichi Otaki also loved. Commentary and liner notes included.
