Description
Based on The Who's classic double album, the cult film is set in London, 1964: a booming era where wage-earning teenagers are eager for fashion, socializing, recreational drugs and music. Above all, it focuses on the emergence of the Mods, ('Modernist' or Mod youth movement); and their tribal war with their 50's throwback enemies, the grubby, Gene Vincent-adoring Rockers... It only uses a few tracks from The Who album but they're used effectively, and great songs from other artists are included in its soundtrack. Also notable for Sting's earliest film appearance.
