Description
Upgraded version of "Rock Montreal & Live Aid." Filmed and recorded in Montreal, Canada in 1981, the film has been previously released on Blu-ray and DVD, but has been digitally re-mastered for IMAX with 12-channel surround sound and crisp image and sound quality. To ensure the highest resolution, the original 35mm negatives were scanned and inspected frame by frame to remove smudges, damage, and seams. The clarity and quality of the image has been improved, and for the first time ever in a video production, the film is recorded in both full-frame and widescreen formats. The full-screen aspect ratio is close to the way the film was originally shot, while the widescreen is an alternate presentation that has been carefully cropped to fill in the 16:9 ratio. In addition, this product includes Queen's legendary and electrifying performance at Live Aid. This too has been upgraded to high definition for the first time and features the latest stereo, 5.1, and Dolby Atmos sound mixes.
