¡The Beatles: 1964 U.S. Albums in Mono[Limited Release]
¡The Beatles
Description
*Non Japan-made disc. *The contents of this release will be identical to the worldwide release, except for Japanese obis and descriptions with Japanese translations. [Japan Exclusive] The set includes Japanese obis. They faithfully replicate the original obi designs of the first Japanese LP releases (except for "Beatles '65," which features an obi inspired by "Beatles for Sale"). To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the global Beatles phenomenon, new analog releases of the Beatles' albums, primarily released in the U.S. in 1964, will be revived in mono mixes. This box set includes all seven albums (8 LPs). Each 180-gram vinyl is cut from the original mono master. The album artwork faithfully reproduces the original designs. Additionally, a newly included fold-out insert features an essay by American Beatles scholar and author Bruce Spizer. The lacquer cutting was handled by Kevin Reeves at East Iris Studio in Nashville. [Mastering Notes] These albums have been cut to vinyl using the original master tapes. During the process, only an analog signal path was used, with constant reference to the sound of the earliest pressings of the original albums. For this analog release, a Studer A80 tape machine with an analog preview/program path function was used for the master recorder, and a Neumann VMS70, installed in Capitol Studios in 1971, was used for the cutting machine. Comes with lyrics and a description.
