Description
The debut album of Queen ("Queen I") released in 1973 is reissued with remixing and restoring by Justin Shirley-Smith, Joshua J. Macrae, and Kris Fredriksson. Additionally, It includes another takes, demos, live tracks, and more. This is the first time that Queen's album has been newly remixed in stereo. This collector's edition consists of 6 CDs and an LP, with 63 tracks in total including 43 newly mixed tracks. CD1: "Queen (2024 mix)" features the original tracklist planned at the time of release with the latest remix and remaster, and includes "Mad the Swine," which was not included in the original LP, on track 4. CD2: "De Lane Lea Demo (2024 mix)" includes demo tracks with remixing in 2024. CD3: Features unreleased versions of the album tracks in the original order. Recorded in Trident Studio and De Lane Lea Studio. You'll also hear conversations between the band members. CD4: Contains instrumentals of the album's tracks. CD5: Includes a different version of "My Fairy King" recorded in February 1973 for BBC radio program "Sound Of Seventies." Along with this first BBC session, this disc includes three more BBC sessions, recorded between February 1973 and April 1974, featuring alternate versions of all tracks from the album. CD6: In addition to the concert at the London Rainbow Theatre in March 1974, it contains several previously unreleased live tracks such as "Hangman," recorded live during the band's U.S. tour finale at the San Diego Sports Arena in March 1976. LP: Features the album's original tracklist planned at the time of release with the latest remix and remaster, and includes "Mad the Swine," which was not included in the original LP, on track 4. Comes with a 108-page book. CD format is SHM-CD exclusively in Japan.
