¡Siegfried Palm (cello), Aloys Kontarsky (piano)

 Description
[Machine Translation] [Super Audio CD Analog Masterpieces 50] A selection of 50 titles on SACD, selected from the finest recordings of the analog era. The mastering was carefully done by the staff of Emil Berliner Studio from the original masters in the tape warehouse in Hanover, bringing back the splendor of the analog recordings. This is a Japan-only project (domestic pressing). This is a collection of 20th century cello works by German cellist Siegfried Palm. Palm, who pioneered new techniques and became a standard-bearer of the avant-garde music performance that flourished after World War II, recorded nine difficult works for cello and piano with his colleague Alois Kontarsky. The nine works are thrilling performances with superb technique. About half of the works recorded here were dedicated to Palm, who premiered them. Recorded in Munich, November 1974 (1-8), May 1969 (9)
