Description
[Machine Translation] [EAST WIND MASTERS COLLECTION 1000 Encore Press] Recommendation for Adult Jazz! The EAST WIND MASTERS COLLECTION 1000 Encore Press] Recommended for Adult Jazz! East Wind, Japan's world-class jazz label, started in 1975. This is a limited encore pressing of 72 titles for 1,000 to commemorate the label's 50th anniversary, and features DSD remastering. This is the debut work of pianist Mikio Masuda, nicknamed "Mickey" and recognized by Art Blakey, Terumasa Hino, and others as a talented pianist. From the opening track, "Pinocchio," the piano runs wildly in all directions. Takao Uematsu's lyrical solo on the famous "Black Narcissus" is also wonderful. [Mikio Masuda (p), Tsutomu Okada (b), Motohiko Hino (ds), Terumasa Hino (flh), Takao Uematsu (ts), Hideo Miyata (fl) Recorded June 9 & 12, 1974 at Victor Studio, Tokyo.
