¡Krystian Zimerman (piano)

 Description
[Machine Translation] The long-awaited solo and chamber music recordings by the master Zimmermann! Zimmermann won the 1975 Chopin International Piano Competition at the age of 18, the youngest ever winner, and has been active at the forefront ever since. Zimmermann's first solo recording under his own name was "Debussy: Preludes," recorded in 1991 and released in 1994. The solo recording in the Webern Complete Edition was made in 1995 and released in 2000. Zimmermann's first new recording since Brahms Concerto No. 1, released in November 2005. The Piano Sonata No. 2 by Gra yna Bacewicz (1909-1969), a female composer from Poland to whom Zimmermann has a special attachment, is a contemporary but easy-to-play piece that was performed on the Japan tour in 2006 and again in June 2009. The coupling chamber music is performed with Poland's leading string players. The bonus track is a broadcast recording of Bacewicz's own composition from the 1960s (Sonata No. 2 for Solo Violin). Recorded February 2009
