The most beautiful sound next to silence" was the motto of ECM's owner, Manfred Eicher, when he founded the label, and for 55 years he has produced and released a sound that can be considered unique. Always looking to the future, he continues to actively discover and produce not only old veterans but also young talents. This reissue series is designed to pass on to the next generation the fascination of the label's ongoing "present tense" appeal, including not only historical masterpieces but also works released within the last 10 years. We are pleased to introduce you to the further depths of the ECM edition of "Jazz Department Store". The third volume of this series features a wide range of masterpieces by ECM artists of the 21st century, many of which are being reissued for the first time in Japan. New liner notes are included.
