[Machine Translation] What's Today? A total of 101 classical masterpieces to mark the respective anniversaries! In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Asahi Shimbun, Makoto Ooka published his famous column "Oriki no Uta" (Songs of the Seasons) from 1979 to 2007. The column, which introduced seasonal tanka and haiku poems, was later published in book form and became very popular. This CD is a music version of the same column, and is the first ever project to collect classical masterpieces associated with the 366 days of the year, which include various anniversaries. The book of the same title was released simultaneously by Kawade Shobo, which lists 366 days and 366 pieces of music. 101 pieces carefully selected from these 366 days are included in this 6-CD set. The book includes dates of birth and death of composers and artists, premiere dates of their works, and various anniversaries not directly related to music, offering a new approach to classical music. This is a project unique to Japan.
