Description
Ted Kramer's (Dustin Hoffman) wife leaves him, and he learns to take care of their young son on his own, as well as learning the tasks of housekeeping. Then the ex returns to take away the boy, and he must fight in court to keep custody of him. It's a brilliant and realistic portrayal of divorce and custody case, with superb acting throughout. Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep give great performances as usual and so do Jane Alexander and Justin Henry who played the kid and became the youngest person to be nominated for an Oscar. It also marked JoBeth Williams's silver screen debut, and she steals a scene playing Hoffman's one night stand.
