¡Internal Circulation - Kokyu no Tomoe -
¡Kozo Toyota

 Description
[Machine Translation] Kozo Toyoda releases his first solo album! Most of the songs are selected from the old and new repertoire of Irish traditional music. The recording was made with a simple instrumentation of only two instruments, flute and guitar. Instead of the usual D flute, E flat was used throughout, and B flat was used for the multi-recorded harmonies. This work was created with minimal instrumentation, the simplest and most spaciest arrangements possible, and minimal variations, inspired by several philosophies, such as Buddhism and minimalism. The central concept is to express the repetition of Irish music in connection with the circular ideas of Eastern thought. In order to achieve this, the CD is divided into two parts, each of which begins with a slow air with little sense of tempo, and gradually increases the tempo. The dance tunes are recorded in sets of two or three, but the sound continues uninterrupted between sets, so that tracks 1-6 and 7-13 each sound like one large set. The fast-paced slides of track 6 and the slow air of track 7 are also connected, and when the repeat function is used for all tracks, the last track is connected to the first track with some silence in between, creating a cycle that alternates between two different storylines.
