Description
Truly a great movie written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. In medieval Japan, the film's hero Ashitaka journeys west in search of a cure for his curse. On the way, he's thrust into the middle of a war between the forest (nature) and the villagers, and meets San who's known as Princess Mononoke (Hime). The film goes far beyond a battle of good and evil, or a simple love story, and presents us with Miyazaki's multi-level philosophy on life and universe. The film re-wrote the box office history in Japan at its theatrical release, and with a good reason. Main feature run time: 133 mins. Bonus footage: 18 mins. Stereo.
