¡THE BLEEP BROTHERS (PI-PI KYODAI)
¡Japanese Movie

 Description
More often than not, comedy acts get hot once they get dirty. "The Bleep Brothers" tells the story of two brothers, Tatsuo (Kentaro Seagal) and Ikuo (Zenjiro) who work at their parents' funeral home by day, and perform a constantly struggling comedy act at a local strip joint by night. Their two-man stand-up routines (known in Japan as "Manzai") have been inducing more groans than laughs, but things change once the tall and handsome Tatsuo loses his head onstage, and reveals his well-endowed errr... Member to shut the audience up. Witnessing their smutty comedy one day, a TV producer signs them onto his show, but his intent is to *bleep* out all the filthy words from their material. Soon, the gimmick turns the show into a runaway hit, and the brothers are superstars... The comedy takes a satirical look at our pop culture and mass media, and with its stylish and frenetic tone, the entertaining film also delivers a solid drama about a sibling rivalry. Writer-director Yoshiyasu Fujita has an extensive background in commercials, and is a winner of numerous awards for television commericlas he directed. He also won the Sundance/NHK International Filmmakers Award for his original screenplay for "The Bleep Brothers" (And yes, Kentaro Seagal is the son of Steven Seagal).
