¡to U
¡Bank Band
Description
[Machine Translation] ap bank concept song "to U" to be released! The prototype of "to U" was created at the end of 2004 as a new song for Bank Band, and the vocalist Salyu, produced by Takeshi Kobayashi, sang the song tentatively at first. TBS "NEWS 23" staff, including Tetsuya Chikushi, listened to the demo and decided that the world view of the song matched the theme of the spring reorganization of "NEWS 23," "Rebirth," and the song was adopted as the theme song for the program from March 28 of the same year. Kazutoshi Sakurai ( Mr.Children ) wrote new lyrics and added his own vocals to complete the 7 minutes and 15 seconds ballad under the name of "Bank Band with Salyu"! Composed by Takeshi Kobayashi and lyrics by Kazutoshi Sakurai, this is the first time they have collaborated on a song together! The "U" in the title "to U" is a double-meaning of "YOU" and "Universe," which clearly expresses the large scale of the song's worldview and the story of how its message permeates down to the individual level. We hope that this song will inspire as many people as possible to think about new possibilities for the future. The single "For the Children to Come" is a Bank Band cover of the classic song "Three and Two" by Off Course, released in October 1979, which was cut as a single in March of the following year. The band members gathered together and made a new studio recording for the ending theme of Nippon Television's "Grave of the Fireflies," a special drama series to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II. The cover is as full of life and vitality as the original! Proceeds from "to U" will be used to support environmental projects through ap bank.
