 Description
[Machine Translation] The last "P" is for Exotica. His fourth album is also called "Portable Exotica". The theme is exotic/tropical. In the midst of the recent Corona disaster, the band asked Pony Hisamitsu to record his own performances as well as those of his guests in their own home environment, and the result is an album that incorporates not only influences from Haruomi Hosono, Makoto Kubota, Martin Denny, Arthur Lyman, and other respected masters of the exotic sound, but also elements of country and swamp. The album features eleven songs that are rich in variety and stimulate the imagination of those who live under constraints, incorporating elements of country and swamp music as well. Guest musicians include Yu Taniguchi ( 1983, Adachi Reisaburo and the Delicious Water, ex Mori wa Ikiteiru ), Kengo Watase ( bjons, roppen ), Cactus Band, and former drummer of Mori wa Ikiteiru, Masumura Kazuhiko Masumura, bassist Tomoyuki Otsuka of the Siamese Cats, who broke up last year, Santa Takahashi, who is active in various genres including 1983, and his wife, Risa Nakagawa of the Natsuyasumi Band, participated. For the first time, the entire album was mixed by Pony's Hisamitsu himself, and mastered by Soichiro Nakamura (Peace Music). The album was released on TETRA RECORDS, an independent label that has produced works by Taiko Super Kicks, And Summer Club, and others.
