Description

Akira ( Akira Takarada ), a lightweight boxing champion, gives Mieko ( Reiko Dan ), a high school girl who has fainted, a mouthful of water. Mieko's school is in an uproar when her picture appears on the cover of a weekly magazine. Mieko and four other women, led by Akira, who is very popular among women, make a fuss over a title match. The original novel by Shintaro Ishihara, who is said to have drawn the main character in the image of Akira Takarada, is adapted by Zenzo Matsuyama. In this unique romantic comedy, a high school student from a traditional school, a bar madam (Niiju Michiyo), a fashion designer (Kusabue Mitsuko), and a nightclub show dancer (Kita Akemi) spark off a love affair over the title of champion.
