 Description
[Machine Translation] [Toho DVD Masterpiece Selection] A third-rate husband receives an unexpected inheritance...and his obstinate wife is in a panic! --Keima Sunagawa (Frankie Sakai), a drummer in a cabaret band, is adopted as a son-in-law of a pawnbroker, but he has no skills at running a pawnshop. His wife and mother-in-law want to get rid of him, saying they don't want a husband with no talent. A small dispute leads to the disappearance of Keima, who runs away from home and disappears, but when he is offered an inheritance of 90 million yen, his wife and mother-in-law change their minds. Director Yuzo Kawashima adapted Umezaki Haruo's novel "Even a Man Walks", which is full of wit and witty dialogue. This is Frankie Sakai's 50th film appearance. Chitose Kobayashi, who plays the other character, makes her first film appearance. Yu Fujiki plays the role of Kogoro Kindaichi, a famous detective, and is surrounded by a cast of talented actors including Keiko Awaji, Daisuke Katoh, Koganji Katsura, Sadako Sawamura, and Makoto Morikawa in this light comedy. It is also fun to see Yuri Toru, Minami Toshiaki, and Hachinami Mutoshi from "Derail Trio" as the three main monster thugs: Godzilla's Hachi, Anguilla's Bear, and Radon's Matsu. First DVD release!
