Description
The bitter-sweet fantasy film is based on the popular novel of the same title by Shinji Kajio. Tsuyoshi Kusanagi (SMAP) stars as a public official from the Ministry of Labor and Public Welfare who investigates a bizarre phenomenon that starts taking place in his hometown of Aso, Kyushu. There, dead persons have been resurrected into the living world, not in the forms of ghosts or zombies, but rather in the shapes maintaining the conditions of the times of their deaths. They include a beloved husband, a lover, a brother, a bullied high school student who killed himself, among others. How did they come back, and why? Available subtitles include English, Japanese, and sign language.
