Yagisawa has been asked by Taizo Yamashiro (Kazuyuki Furuya), the president of the Meisei Party, which is seeking to regain power in the next general election, to bring Teruko to him. Yamashiro is trying to recruit Teruko as a civilian cabinet minister. After meeting with Teruko, Yamashiro asked her to chair a study group of the party. Teruko, who had shunned politics because of a feud with her father born when she was a student, hesitated and was unable to respond.
