Description

The film is based on 1,000-year-old novel "The Tale of Genji" written by Murasaki Shikibu, which depicts love and intrigue among nobles in Heian period (794-1185). The story centers on the life of both Murasaki Shikibu and her imaginary figure in the novel, Hikaru Genji, and reveals why and how "The Tale of Genji" was created. Comes with a bonus DVD with making-of, special footage from "Seigaiha" dance scene, event footage, and more. Also includes a deluxe booklet (48 pages / subject to change) and 8 postcards. *The DVD disc is encoded for region 2 (Japan, Europe, and Middle East), and no subtitles are included.
