Description
Unfasten a tangled piece of thread and find a little bit of happiness in this new film starring Kyoko Iwata, Kazuko Yoshiyuki, and Ai Kitaura. Ume and Kame live in small home that the locals think of as "The trash house." The rooms, the garden, and even the roof are littled with little trinkets these two elderly women have pulled from the trash heeps of their neighborhood--but you know what they say, one person's trash is another person's treasure. But there's something the women don't know . . . it turns out their collection of treasures has, perhaps as a result of the love its received over the years, developed its own consciousness, and protects the two sisters from its perch atop the house like a sentry. Then one day a young girl comes rolling into town and accidently rids the house of the trash entity . . . and as a result has unlocked the young memories of the two sisters. And that's including the two had ended up in the strange position to begin with!
