¡Kurita Taeko Sotoyama Akira Duo
¡Taeko Kurita

 Description
[Machine Translation] First album by the duo of Taeko Kurita (piano) and Akira Toyama (drums), recorded live in the summer of 2023. It features the interplay of the two playing with the material of the songs. The piano and drums intertwine, singing, dancing, and rolling like one living creature. Recording, mixing, and mastering were done by Mitsuo Sakaguchi, a musician trusted by the two. The jacket art direction was done by Akiko Fukuhara. The recording location was "Listening Room" in Jimbocho, Tokyo. On the day of recording, the two musicians played together without any discussion as usual, and enjoyed everything that happened on the spot with the audience. All of the 10 songs on this recording were composed by Kurita, including a song named after a river, which is common among Kurita's compositions, a ballet lesson song, and a song written as a commissioned work for a certain mixed chorus group. Akiko Fukuhara, who happened to be listening to the duo's live performance in 2013, drew the picture on the jacket with a ballpoint pen while listening to the performance, and ever since Kurita saw the picture after the show, she has been thinking of "using it as a CD jacket someday", which came true in 2024 with this album.
