Description
Follow-up to the anime from 1998 is a recap of the old show by a new production crew. The anime is set in Japan of the near future where the rise in the oceans' water level caused by the global greenhouse effect threatens the island country's existence. It's a poetic anime that centers around Alpah, the robot owner of Cafe Alpha on Cape Yokosuka. Alpha appears to be an attractive young woman in her early twenties, and together with her friends, she enjoys the beauty and the richness of the nature around them, and their peaceful quiet time together. Hekiru Shiina stars in the anime as Alpha, and is featured in end credit theme as well. Includes a music only track that features Choro Club's performance. The soundtrack includes real-life sounds of nature recorded on location in Yokosuka, mixed with the soundtrack music in 5.1ch sound. Also available on VHS.
