Description
This wild sci-fi action comedy is perhaps the most popular and highly praised anime to come out in a long time. Based on the manga by Hiroshi Arakawa, the show's universe is populated by Alchemists who practice the art of manipulating and altering matter to transform objects into other forms. Sacrifice goes with the territory since the laws of alchemy states that altering matter comes at a price equivalent to the magnitude of the transformation. While trying to revive his dead mother by alchemy, our hero Edward Elric loses his right arm and left leg, and his younger brother Alphonse virtually dies, though his soul is contained now in a large robotic suit to keep what's left of him alive.
