¡Pupils Of LeschetizkyVol.4 (Pianists Born From 1882 To1886)
¡Theodor Leschetizky

 Description
[Machine Translation] Along with Franz Liszt, Theodor Resheticki ( 1830-1915 ) was the most influential teacher in the history of piano performance. This series of CD reprints of historical recordings by his student pianists is a compilation of his research, and consists of five anthologies and a volume for each pianist. The fourth volume, the midway point of the series, features performances of his piano works by his disciples, Grace Potter Carroll, Frank Merrick, and Marie Novello, as well as the first recordings of the romantic era by the young Ellie Nye, and the first recordings of the virtuoso from Russia, Josef Schwarz. Joseph Schwarz's German homochord recordings, and the rare Pate vertical vibration disc by Ethel Leginska, who also contributed to the advancement of women musicians, are among the many Romantic performances from the 1910s to the early 1960s. Through the performances of six of his disciples, this program allows us to experience the great achievements of Resheticki, whose diverse talents flourished.
