 Description
[Machine Translation] [DISCO FEVER 40" 1st release ( 16 ) ] The campaign "DISCO FEVER 40" commemorates the 40th anniversary of the movie "Saturday Night Fever" in Japan. For the first release, 50 albums from the 70's and early 80's will be re-released all at once! MFSB was the house band at Sigma Studios, the mecca of Philly Soul, and was formed by Gamble & Huff. This is a masterpiece of the late PIR after the early members, including Vince Montana, moved to Salsoul. The arrangements of strings and brass, led by Dexter Wonzel on keyboards, are still very much alive and well. It includes "Let's Party Down" produced by Tom Bell and a cover of Rose Royce's classic "Wishing On A Star". (Released in 1978) / First CD release in Japan / New liner notes/no bilingual lyrics / Purchase privilege measures available (presents given by lottery) *Limited shipping until the end of December, 2019.
