A compilation jointly produced by the three major Western music labels, Sony Music, Universal Music (including EMI) and Warner Music. It includes many Western hit songs that could not be included in the previous compilation. As in the previous compilation, the selection of songs is based on hits unique to Japan, without regard to genre. Many theme songs for movies/TV dramas and Japanese originals will also be included. The album will also include songs that have been long sought but never found, songs that have never been released on CD, and other rare sound sources that will be coveted by maniacal single collectors. Vol. 6 will include Western music that was a hit in Japan from 1980 to 1982. This is a Japan-only project. Includes lyrics and bilingual translation.
