¡Mozart: March K. 335, Serenade K. 320 "Posthorn-Serenade" & "Haffner-Sinfonie"
¡Nikolaus Harnoncourt (conductor)

 Description
[Machine Translation] This is a new recording by Arnoncourt, following the release of "Alexander's Feast" on July 24th. This album, a collection of three of Arnoncourt's favorite Mozart pieces, was recorded live at the same venue in December 2012, just a few days after the performance of "Alexander's Feast". These three pieces are the same as those performed at Tokyo Opera City as "Farewell" (Arnoncourt's own words) on the last day of Arnoncourt's last Japan tour in November 2010, and vividly recall the emotion of that time. Both pieces were written in the glorious key of D major, and the performance in Japan emphasized their dramatic and festive character to the fullest. Two years have passed since then, and it is inevitable that the interpretation of these works has evolved through in-depth research of the composer's direct documents, including his autograph score. The Concentus Musicus ensemble is also a masterful ensemble that has taken 100% of Arnoncourt's intention to bring out unprecedented sounds and articulations from familiar works and made them realistic. Haffner" was Arnoncourt's first recording of a Mozart symphony (1980), and it has been re-recorded after 32 years.
