Description
Blu-ray release of a film "The Little House (Chiisai Ouchi)" directed by Yoji Yamada of "The Twilight Samurai." Stars Takako Matsu and Haru Kuroki. Also appears Satoshi Tsumabuki. Comes with a bonus DVD featuring making-of and event footage (subject to change). Plot: Takeshi finds several notebooks of his aunt, Taki in her room when he cleans up the room with his family after her passing. Through the notebooks Takeshi learns of his aunt's life. In 1936, prior to World War II, Taki is hired as a live-in maid in a modern little house with a red triangular roof in Tokyo. The family living in the little house consists of three members, the husband who works at a toy company, his beautiful wife Tokiko and their five-year-old son Kyoichi. Taki really likes the wife Tokiko. However, a young man named Shoji, who appears in front of them, and the worsening war situation change the relationships in the little house. *The DVD disc is encoded for region 2 (Japan, Europe, and Middle East), and no subtitles are included.
