Description
Blu-ray release of the film "Ooku - Danjo Gyakuten -" starring Kazunari Ninomiya (Arashi), Kou Shibasaki, and Maki Horikita. Plot: The story is set in Edo period, where male population is decreased to 25 percent of that of female due to a mysterious disease. Because of that, women do all the manual labor and take over businesses while men are treated like essential beings for procreation. Mizuno Unoshin (Kazunari Ninomiya), a young man who pursues the samurai spirit even in this parallel world, decides to sell himself into the harem in the Edo castle (Ooku) to support his family and forget his love with the childhood sweetheart. This edition includes a bonus DVD, a 28-page photobook, a charm, and 10 postcards (B6). The bonus DVD features a re-edit version of the TV program "Oku no Oku made Tettei Kaibo Special!" (40 min.), event footage, unreleased footage, making-of CG, making-of documentary featuring the cast, interviews, baskstage footage, and more. *The DVD disc is encoded for region 2 (Japan, Europe, and Middle East), and no subtitles are included.
