 Description
[Machine Translation] A story of time, dreams, and travel spun by the much-talked-about romantic jazz pianist Sumire Kuribayashi. After the release of her debut album "TOYS" in July 2014, Sumire Kuribayashi, who was acclaimed by various media as having a "violet-colored jazz" that resembles no one else, has completed her long-awaited second album, which should be called the "romantic school of jazz piano. Beginning with the fantastical and nostalgic lead track, Sumire Kuribayashi's second album, "Romanticism of Jazz Piano," is a breathtaking original piece that brings to mind a scene of a small town in France. The album also includes a trio performance of Keith Jarrett's miraculous solo improvisation,4 and other pieces that showcase the respect for and challenge of jazz. The magnificent piano trio suite5 is a masterpiece. The members of the group for this project are Hideaki Kanazawa, Japan's top bassist with a hundred years of experience, and drummer Hiroshi Kimura, an up-and-coming young drummer with a refined tone. The rare talent Shun Ishiwaka (ds) also joins as a guest. Hitoshi Yukata, who has worked with world-famous musicians such as Junko Onishi, Roy Hargrove, and Gonzalo Rubalcaba, continues his role as a producer on this album. The curtain now opens on a story that weaves the history of jazz that has been and will continue to be told.
