¡Close Encounters Of The Third Kind[45th Anniversary Edition / Limited Release]
¡Original Soundtrack (Music by John Williams)
Description
*Non Japan-made disc. [Machine Translation] To commemorate the 90th anniversary of John Williams' birth and the 45th anniversary of the release of the film "Encounter with the Unknown," the original soundtrack recording of the film has been remastered and released in a special 2-CD edition! John Williams' already masterful musical talents have captured the film's boundless wonder-the eternal exploration of space, dialogue, and the mystery of the unknown of the human soul-in a masterful score. This two-disc luxury edition was meticulously produced, mixed, and mastered by Mike Matejino in consultation with the composer and director, and was prompted by the discovery that Williams had originally planned this soundtrack as a two-disc 75-minute LP. Therefore, disc 1 of this complete reissue of the original recording follows that intention and contains the magnificent symphony on a single disc. Disc 2 includes cues not heard on Disc 1, alternates, alternate versions of selections, 1977 album tracks, and previously unreleased source music recorded for the film. The second disc is composed of previously unreleased source music that was recorded for the film, and is intended to provide a fresh experience of the score. Limited edition of 5,000 copies worldwide. Imported domestic edition. (* Except for the "45th Anniversary" notation on the jacket, the same masters used for the 40th Anniversary edition were used for the previous release. The same masters were used for the 40th anniversary edition, and the contents are identical. )
