Description
[Machine Translation] Based on the novel by Yoji Yamada, the creator of Tora Jiro, Tora-san's boyhood. The story begins with the secret of Tora-jiro's birth, continues through his bad boy days during the war, and ends with his departure from the station in Shibamata, Katsushika, after being sent off by his beloved younger sister Sakura. Tora Jiro's mother, with whom he has never had a relationship, is his Achilles heel. In order not to make his mother sad, and out of his innocent love for his younger sister Sakura, Torajiro has built the framework of the man he is today. No matter how reckless or how unprecedented he may be, there is no malice toward others. He is not motivated by profit or loss. This is the secret of Torajiro's ability to melt people's hearts. The cast includes Mao Inoue, Sione Fujiwara, Yuri Inoue, Katsuya Maimikuma, Yuki Izumisawa, Yukino Kishii, Kitaro, Shiori Nozawa, Nanana Mori, Maho Yamada, Goro Kishitani, and Kanji Ishimaru. The story is narrated by Yuko Hara, and the music is composed by Koji Makaino, who is known as an indispensable composer for Japanese idols of the 1970s such as Megumi Asaoka, Shizue Abe, and Hideki Saishiro, and for Japanese idols such as Masahiko Kondo, Shonendai, Hikaru Genji, SMAP, KinKi Kids, Arashi, News, and Kanjani Eight. The humorous episodes of Tora Jiro are perfectly matched with the humane music.
