Norio Maeda, Yoshiaki Otsuka, Masahiro Sayama, Hideaki Nakaji (Tropical Jazz Orchestra), and Shigeo Nukata (Tokyo Cuban Boies) also participated in the arrangement. This is the third installment of "J.J-Standard," a project to revive famous Japanese songs with a big band sound and to create new Japanese standard numbers. This time, the project focuses on manga music that adults were passionate about as boys and girls. The 11 songs selected based on questionnaires from readers and listeners of Yomiuri Shimbun and FM COCOLO are all masterpieces that represent the times, both in terms of original works and music. We hope that you will enjoy looking back at Japan's world-class manga culture from a musical perspective. It is with this in mind that we have created this concert. The performance will be by the "Arroyo Jazz Orchestra," a well-established and prestigious big band in the Kansai jazz world, which has been in existence for more than 50 years. The bold challenge to carve a new history in Japanese jazz history continues!
