 Description
[Machine Translation] This is a collection of classic Panamanian songs by Patricia Ellena Brieg, a singer from Panama, Central America, who is blind but also speaks Japanese fluently. This album was recorded in Buenos Aires in 2014, fully demonstrating the results of the exchanges with Argentine and South American musicians that have continued since her last album "A Una Cantora" (Argentine EPSA) in 2011. The musical director is Popi Spatocco, who was the exclusive arranger for the great Argentine singer Mercedes Sosa in her later years, and the album features Lilian Saba, Juan Quintero, Luna Monti (Argentina), Monica Saumaso (Brazil), Berta Rojas (Paraguay), Paquito de Rivera ( Cuba-USA), Edmar Castaneda (Colombia), and many other guests. The album includes tamborellas and boleros by leading Panamanian composers such as Arturo Chino Assan, Ricardo Fabrega, and Avelino Munoz, as well as his own compositions and those of his sister, and the songs are arranged based on five themes related to Panama. Beautifully packaged in a 3-sided digipak. Commentary by Hideto Nishimura and Masayo Tanimoto.
