Description
5-disc set containing all 26 animated "Devilman Lady" episodes. The series is based on the manga serial by the legendary anime/manga creator, Go Nagai ("Mazinger," "Getter Robo"). Unlike the original manga in which the heroine Jun Fudo was a teacher, the anime features her as an introspective fashion model. Harder-edged than the original manga (which sounds rare but sometimes happens in animes) Ran Asuka is no longer a collaborative partner of Jun's but she's given a more commanding presence as her "employer," and the original Devilman Akira Fudo does not make his appearance in the series. Go Nagai himself spoke highly of the show at the test screening of the first episode. The 5-disc set contains all 26 episodes, and comes housed in a deluxe box.
