[Machine Translation] This is the first and last live album by Holger Schukai, the only one under his solo name, where all songs were recorded with only one stereo microphone and not mixed in any way! It is a compilation of recordings made between 1984 and 1987, and features two former KAN allies, Jaki Liebzeit (ds) and Michael Karoly (g), as well as Sheldon Ansell (vo) of the Phantom Band. The album features two different vocal performances: side A ('87), in which Ansell's vocals are reminiscent of early Kann singer Malcolm Mooney; B1 ('86), a concert rehearsal recording; and, as the album title suggests, the interplay between the shortwave radio sounds collaged throughout the album and the three musicians, Shukai, Liebetzeit and Karoli, is thrilling. The interplay between the sounds of shortwave radio and the performances of Schukai, Liebetzeit, and Karoly is thrilling, and is followed by B2-6 ('84). The final gong (and clapperboard-like sound) is very moving.
